DGTech: Who can Apply
Application Eligibility for the Bachelor of Engineering in Digital Green Technology Program
The Department of Digital Green Technology accepts application from first-year entry applicants.
First-year Entry
Applicants who meet one or more of the following criteria may apply for entrance to the Department of Digital Green Technology.
(1) Those who have completed, or are expected to complete, 12 years or more of formal education in Japanese schools accredited by the MEXT
(2) Those who have completed, or are expected to complete, 12 years or more of formal education outside Japan
(3) Those who have completed, or are expected to complete, 12 years of education at foreign schools in Japan recognized by the MEXT
(4) Those who hold, or are expected to hold, the International Baccalaureate Diploma, Baccalaureate, Abitur, International A-Levels, GCE A-levels or European Baccalaureate before entering Sophia University
(5) Those who have been recognized individually by Sophia University as having qualifications equivalent to (1), (2), (3) or (4) and will reach the age of 18 at the time of entrance to Sophia University
Important: Applicants must also submit one of the following standardized tests: SAT, ACT, EJU, IB Diploma, or GCE Advanced Level. Subject requirements vary depending on the qualification submitted:
- SAT: Reading & Writing, and Math
- ACT: English, Mathematics, Reading, and Science
- EJU: Mathematics Course 2 and at least two science subjects (Physics, Chemistry, and/or Biology)
- IB Diploma: At least one Higher Level subject from Physics, Chemistry, or Biology, in addition to Mathematics AA/AI HL
- GCE Advanced Level: Three subjects, including Mathematics and at least one of the following subjects: Physics, Chemistry, or Biology
